Jesus said in Matthew 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name..” Although God is the Almighty Powerful Lord and King of the universe, when you call upon Him, He wants you to address Him as Father. He wants you to know Him in a close, personal way because He wants to have a loving relationship with you. So many people view God the way they view their earthly father. If their earthly father was loving and kind, it’s easy to see God the same way. However, if your earthly father was harsh and did not provide for you, you may have difficulty seeing God as He really is. Today, search your heart and let go of any preconceived ideas about God. Because God created everything and does not depend on anyone for income, you can completely trust God your Father, to provide abundantly for all your needs. This is why God asks you to ask Him for anything you need, so that your joy may be complete(John 16:24).
